This traditional festival is one of the stalwarts of the Scottish music scene. The Auchtermuchty Festival takes place in August each year with 2010 being its 30th year! The festival is a community based, friendly festival that sees people returning year after to year to meet old friends and make new ones. The traditional music weekend takes place on the last weekend of the festival with sessions and singarounds a-plenty, along with concerts, ceilidhs, workshops and competitions too. It even has its own diddling competition.
