'Living Tradition Summer Schools' is a modern style of event using the highest quality of traditional arts teaching combined with public performance to provide opportunities for participation and learning at all levels. The workshops will offer a quality learning experience and bring international masters of the folk arts to Scotland. The ‘arts workshops’ will be strongly based on the traditional arts – music, song, dance and storytelling – but will also include other art and craft activities, tutors and students from relevant local projects. During Living Tradition Summer Schools we will be bringing masters of the traditional arts to Dundee. This will offer a unique chance to hear them on a concert stage and rub shoulders with them in informal sessions. All evening Concerts at our Summer Schools are open to the public. Concerts will be followed by our ‘Late Night Extra’ sessions which are open to people who have a concert ticket for that evening.
