We are saddened to hear of the death of Bristol Folk singer and humourist, Fred Wedlock, who passed away in Bristol on the 5th of March 2010. Fred has been a well loved face around the Folk scene since the mid-sixties. He once appeared on Top of The Pops with his No.6 chart hit 'The Oldest Swinger In Town'. He really was a great character. He used to say, "I had a great start in life. I was born in a pub!" (His parents owned a pub near Bristol in the forties.) He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
