The original 1976 members were Dave Burns (guitar), Dafydd Roberts (triple harp, flute), Gwyndaf Roberts (knee harp and bass) and Iolo Jones (fiddle).

Peter Bellamy @ Kilmarnock Folk Club, 1975 - This is a recording of Peter Bellamy at Kilmarnock Folk Club. The recording at this stage is only roughly edited - the volume level on some of the introductions has been raised but the transitions might be a bit clumsy. The recording is also split here into two parts. We will need to go back to the source tape to try to work out the sequence of the evening, as it could be that part of the recording was overwritten during the evening.

In the early to mid 1990s, there were various concerts billed as Muckle Sangs Concerts. Sometimes these were stand alone events, other were part of festivals.
The format was typically four or five singers, on-stage together in a round robin format, with singers choosing their own songs - often reacting to what the previous singer had sung. In this recording you can hear a bit of the interaction with the audiences, and among the singers themselves.
