15th International Roots & Acoustic Music Festival - Gate To Southwell - takes place in Kirklington Parkland on 14-17 July Fiona Heywood Tue, 06/14/2022 - 10:12

The festival worked really well at its new location in Kirklington parkland in September 2021, and can't wait to get back there in July.

There is plenty of space to camp, right on the festival site - it really is a lovely spot, by the lakes. You can bring your vehicle onto the campsite, so no need to lug tents and equipment about. For those not camping there's a free day car-park right next to the entrance. Or for a bit of extra luxury, why not try glamping?  Well behaved dogs are welcome to the campsite and into the festival arena.

The 50th Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy comes in July this year. This significant date will be marked by the return of a full  summer school to the communities associated with the event: Miltown Malbay, Mullagh, Quilty and Spanish Point.

The COVID crisis necessitated a hiatus of two years during which the summer school functioned virtually via Zoom and other platforms, thereby maintained crucial links with tutors, students and followers. But the real event is what everyone is waiting for and that will run from 2nd to 10th July this year.
